Durability according to \nBS EN16755:2017 standard<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

For this purpose, tests are being carried out in accordance with EN927-6, one of the three\u00a0test options within the new BS EN16755:2017 standard<\/strong>. The test comprises an accelerated weathering process with UV and the equivalent of over 120 years of rain in Belgium.<\/p>

The tests are carried out on<\/span>\u00a0ThermoWood\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0pine<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Western Red Cedar<\/strong>\u00a0and both retained reaction to fire class B, both before and after accelerated ageing, in accordance with test method ISO 5560-1: 2015.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The following applies to the durability of timber products treated with Burnblock\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0fire retardant using a vacuum\/pressure:<\/p>

The effect of the fire retardant characteristics decreases at a speed equal to the degradation\/ageing of the timber itself.<\/strong><\/p>
